I want to focus this letter on one theme – gratitude.
We are very grateful to you, our customers, for the continued support and confidence you have demonstrated in Montigo through what has been a very challenging period for everyone. Despite these challenges, you have stepped up for your customers, employees and families to ensure we deliver beautiful, reliable fireplaces to people’s homes and businesses. Never has the comfort of a warm fire in one’s home been more important.
On March 26th, 2021 our team in Ferndale, WA achieved a remarkable 3 years without a time loss injury.
We are all very proud of their hard work and commitment to safety.

Gaylord Rockies Resort – Aurora, CO
A grand-scale hotel with rustic alpine charm features 4 commercial and 16 residential fireplaces from Montigo
At the heart of the spectacular new Gaylord Rockies Resort sits a massive custom 13-ft wide by 6-ft tall traditional style commercial gas fireplace.
Visitors to the world class Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center just 10 minutes from the Denver International Airport in Colorado are transported to a mountain-themed playground. The colossal structure encompasses 1.9 million sq-ft of high-end hotel, restaurant and convention space. Designed and constructed with a ski village vibe on an 85-acre site, the property boasts 1,501 rooms, five sit-down restaurants and an indoor and outdoor recreational park.

A massive custom 13-ft by 6-ft traditional single sided fireplace (BF156) commands the great room in pride of place next to the impressive 800-ft winding indoor river. In order to provide a seamless look with the surroundings, Montigo supplied a masonry mesh to ease installation of the brick liner. The brick was selected and installed to compliment the surrounding stone.
The Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center has won multiple awards, including Development of the Year (Full Service) 2018 at ALIS and ENR Mountain States Best Projects 2019 Project of the Year, Best Residential / Hospitality, Excellence in Safety.

Tech Tips
Residential Termination Restrictors
Our Tech Support team has created a simple guide to installing restrictors at the termination. A common installer question is “why would I install a restrictor at the termination rather than at the fireplace itself?”.
The main reason being, a restrictor placed in the firebox can lead to increased glass temperatures and risks glass failure. Additionally, if the restrictor is installed at in the termination before constructing the vent system, then placing the termination restrictor is virtually just as easy as installing a firebox restrictor.
Powervent Simplification
You Asked, We Listened
With the 2021 Q1 Price List release you will notice more than a few revisions to the powervent suite and ordering process that we hope will make your ordering and installation process easier.
Vent Size
After extensive testing, we are able to approve that all our standard residential fireplace sare able to use 4/7 venting in conjunction with our 4/7 power vents. This eliminates the need for separate 5/8 powervents and grants the ability for an installer to use a reducer to adapt to the smaller vent size.
The Ordering System
It is now much clearer what post purge box is required to order with your specific fireplace. Additionally, we have added the rheostat as a required item. This addition will help in the majority of installs.
